245 Miles
It has been a few days now and everyone has finally recovered from the run. At times it seemed like we weren't going to make it but we pulled it off running a total of 245 miles. That's an average mile time of 5:52.6, pretty impressive! Check out hprunning.com to view pictures of the event. While the 24 Hour Run is over, that doesn't mean that it is too late to donate. Have you earned your stripes?
As you watch the 24 Hour Run you will notice tally marks on some of the runner's arms. After a student athlete has completed a mile they have earned a tally mark. Try to find the person with the most stripes!

It is now 9pm. More and more people keep showing up to support the runners...where are you? Here is the latest pic from the track.
24 Hour Run is Underway
Student athletes have started their 24 Hour Relay to raise money for Highland Park High School's Charity Drive. There have been a few minor setbacks connecting to the wireless internet which have kept the live feed down for now. We hope to bring that to you as soon as possible. Now that we have finally gotten everything set up keep checking back to the website to monitor the progress of the run.
Today is the Day!
The day has finally come! Today at 4 pm the Highland Park Track and Field team will kick off the 5th annual 24 Hour Run at the Highland Park High School Indoor Track. Please come by to support the runners. When you stop by, be sure to check out the 24 Hour Run merchandise as well as the live music that will be playing throughout the night. If you are unable to make it, fear not; there will be updates to the site throughout the night as well as a live webcam of the event. We will try to update the site every hour so keep checking back! See you there.
